Environmental Sensitivities

Artificial fragrances can be found in cologne, perfume, candles, incense, and air fresheners. These fragrances and their chemical components are considered environmental sensitivities. Environmental sensitivities can cause headaches, nausea, dizziness, breathlessness, rash, and fatigue. These symptoms can interfere with workplace activities and lead to decreased productivity.

Policy

Employees are restricted to unscented personal products. No scented deodorant, cologne, or perfume may be worn within the workplace. Employees are prohibited from using personal cleaning agents, air fresheners, candles, and incense in the workplace.
