Wedding Officiant Contract
This agreement is made on {date} between {Officiant}, hereafter "Officiant," and {Couple}, hereafter "Couple," regarding the officiating of the Couple's marriage on {date} at {ceremony venue}:
The Couple agrees to retain the Officiant for {amount}. This includes a {number}-hour ceremony on {date} at {time} and a {number}-hour rehearsal at the venue on {date} at {time}. Travel costs are {included/an additional charge}.
The Officiant will wait up to {amount of time} for a delayed ceremony. After that time, the Officiant {cannot be guaranteed to stay/will charge an hourly rate}.
After the Couple has signed the marriage license, it is incumbent upon the Officiant to sign and file the marriage license with the county clerk's office no later than {number} days after the wedding.
The Couple and the Officiant may have {number} meetings in person for no more than {amount of time} each prior to the wedding. More than {number} will result in an {hourly rate} charge. This time may be spent discussing the Couple's relationship, requested language, vows, and presentation.
The Officiant agrees to {dress code}. The Officiant will conduct {him/her} self in a respectful and professional manner.
The ceremony {will/will not} be a religious ceremony: {Religion}. If so, the Officiant verifies that {he/she} is ordained within that religion.
The Officiant will have final say over the language of the ceremony and vows. OR The Couple will have final say over the language of the ceremony and vows. The Officiant reserves the right to withdraw as officiant if {he/she} does not feel comfortable performing the requested ceremony, up to {number} days before the wedding.
The Couple agrees to feed the Officiant at the wedding.
Should the Officiant be unable to perform the wedding, {he/she} will {refund the entire payment, find a replacement, etc.}
Any time, date, or location changes made for the wedding must be approved by the Officiant {number} days before the wedding, or else the Couple may incur a {fine/withdrawal}.
A deposit of {amount} is due at the signing of this contract. The remaining amount is due {number} days before the wedding. Cancellations before {date} will result in a refund minus {amount}. No refunds {number} days before the wedding.
