Waiver For Rock Wall

Rock Wall Climbing Release of Liability

By climbing at {Rock Wall Facility}, I hereby accept any risks involved in participation, accept all liability, and will hold harmless this climbing gym for any damages to my property or injuries to my person. This release of liability includes, but is not limited to, damages or injuries incurred due to negligence, carelessness, or equipment failure.

I agree to abide by the precautions and safety instructions put into place by {Rock Wall Facility}. I understand that the risks of climbing include, but are not limited to:

• Bumping into, colliding, or otherwise making contact with the wall, climbing holds, ropes, or other objects in a manner that results in physical injury.
• Colliding with other persons, or being struck by a person who has slipped or falling. Slipping or falling upon another person or to the ground.
• Losing one’s grip due to a loose or broken hold.
• Being injured due to the negligence or carelessness of other climbers.
• Injuries including but not limited to: rope burns, broken teeth, eye injury, bruising, sprains, internal injuries, joint dislocation, bone breakage, full or partial paralysis, or death.
• Being struck by falling objects.
• Experiencing anxiety, exhaustion, or other emotional and physical responses to the activity of climbing.

I agree to mitigate the risk of damages or injury by following the safety rules as follows:

• Emptying my pockets of all items and carrying nothing upon my person.
• No food, drinks, or gum allowed while climbing.
• Wearing clothing appropriate for climbing, including {helmet/climbing shoes/etc.}. If eyeglasses are worn, they must be properly secured.
• Any “racing to the top” or good-natured wagers may only be undertaken with the full agreement and participation of all parties.
• No taunting, scaring, or otherwise interfering with another participant’s climb.
• Staying {distance} away from other climbers, and ensuring that all ropes are {rope description}.
• Knowing my abilities and taking other common-sense precautions not necessarily enumerated in this waiver or by {Rock Wall Facility} staff.

By signing below, I agree to waive liability for damages or injuries. Specifically, I will be liable for any and all medical costs, attorney fees, and other costs. I also assert that I am in sound physical condition for climbing, and am not under the influence of alcohol or drugs that could impair my ability to participate safely.

I further agree that this waiver will remain on file and apply to all future visits to {Rock Wall Facility}.
