Teen Smartphone Contract

_______________________ (hereafter "Guardian") and _______________________ (hereafter "Teen") hereby agree to the following:

The Guardian agrees to purchase the Teen's smartphone and pay for the phone plan until the Teen is {age}, at which time the Teen will take over payments. If the Teen breaks or loses the smartphone, {he/she} will be responsible for purchasing a replacement.

The Teen will not have restrictions or supervision of {his/her} smartphone unless there are {number} or more incidents wherein the Teen is not meeting {his/her} familial or academic obligations.

The Teen agrees to keep {his/her} password safe and private.

The Teen agrees to practice caution when downloading software or apps and to do due diligence beforehand.

When not connected to wi-fi, the Teen agrees not to download large files or stream movies. When connected to unfamiliar or public wi-fi, the Teen agrees not to enter private or financial information.

The Teen agrees not to use {his/her} smartphone while driving unless it is paired with a hands-free device.

The Teen agrees not to use {his/her} smartphone during classes, extracurricular activities, family meals, and community events such as performances, movies, religious services, or {other}. The Teen agrees to abide by all cellphone rules laid out by the Guardian, the Teen's school, and the Teen's teachers, instructors, mentors, and coaches.

The Teen agrees to keep the smartphone on {his/her} person when going out and to answer within {amount of time} if the Guardian calls or texts. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the Guardian assuming the Teen is in immediate danger.

The Teen agrees not to use the phone for illegal or disrespectful purposes. The Teen agrees not to send nudes, hack others' accounts, harass or dox others, or behave unkindly.

If the Teen does not abide by any these rules, the Guardian may revoke the Teen's phone privileges for {amount of time}.
