Teen Dating Contract

I, {Teen's Name}, agree to abide by the terms set out in this dating contract as a condition of my dating privileges. In addition to the rules set out explicitly below, I also agree to use good judgment and discuss all serious or dangerous matters that may arise due to dating immediately with my parents.

First and foremost, I will abide by the following rules concerning physical contact. I will not {outline unacceptable contact explicitly}. If I find myself in a situation in which my safety is in danger, I will immediately call my parents no matter where I am or what I am doing.

I also agree to introduce my date to my parents before any date. If I am on a group date, I will inform my parents of the names of all participants. During any date, I will leave my cell phone on and will answer it immediately if my parents call.

I understand that there will be limitations on my dating activities. I will not visit {list unacceptable places}. I will not allow dating to interfere with {list important activities, such as school or chores}. I will not {list any other forbidden activities}.

I agree that an acceptable punishment for disobedience concerning these rules will be {list punishment} and that repeated offenses will result in a complete inability to date for a set period of time.

And finally, by signing this document I swear that if I ever have any questions about dating, I will discuss those questions with my parents or with another appropriate adult, such as a counselor at school.
