Second Shooter Photography Contract

_____________________________ (hereafter "Second Shooter") and __________________________ (hereafter "Photographer") hereby agree to the following:

The Second Shooter will work for the Photographer as an independent contractor, not an employee. The Second Shooter will do any work required to assist the Photographer, including but not limited to shooting an event, editing photographs, assistive labor, and monitoring equipment. The Second Shooter will be employed on an as-needed basis; the Photographer does not promise a certain number of hours or events. The Photographer may terminate services with the Second Shooter at any time.

The {Second Shooter/Photographer} will provide all photography equipment.

The Second Shooter will conduct {himself/herself} in a professional manner at all times. {He/she} will prioritize assisting the Photographer over taking shots.

The Second Shooter will arrive at least {amount of time} before an event and be prepared to stay at least {amount of time}.

The Second Shooter will wear {attire} during an event. {List of accessories, brand names, colors, etc.} are not permitted during events.

Payment

The Second Shooter will receive the following in compensation:

• Course credit (or hours toward an apprenticeship/internship). No monetary compensation.
• {Amount} per hour up to {number of hours}, and {amount} per hour after that.
• A flat rate by event, up to {number} hours, and then an hourly rate of {amount} thereafter: {Amount} for weddings, {amount} for engagement shoots, {amount} for childbirth, {amount} for parties/corporate functions, {amount} for graduations.
• {Amount} for travel and expenses, per event.

Liabilities

The Photographer is not liable for any losses, damages, or injuries inflicted upon the Second Shooter during events or work-related activities. The Second Shooter understands that {he/she} is responsible for all taxes and fees incurred by the nature of the work.

All photos are fully copyrighted to the Photographer. The possession, rights, royalties, and distribution of all photos taken belong solely to the Photographer. The scanning, resale, distribution, or online sharing of any photographs without the Photographer's written permission is illegal, and all violators will be prosecuted.
