Portrait Photography Contract

_____________________________ (hereafter "Client") and __________________________ (hereafter "Photographer") hereby agree to the following:

The Photographer will be the exclusive photographer for the event held at {location} on {date} at {time}. The Photographer will arrive at {time} and will document events and people until {time}.

The Photographer will be paid a retainer of {amount} that will be nonrefundable in the event of cancellation less than {amount of time} before the event. The Photographer's fees will be {amount}, plus {rate} for overtime requests, which are not guaranteed.

The Photographer will provide his/her own photographic equipment. The {Photographer/Client} will be responsible for {travel/accommodation/parking, etc.} costs.

The Client requests the following portraits, in addition to candid event shots: {Request list}. The Photographer will make every effort to meet these requests, but cannot guarantee the cooperation of weather or the attendance and availability of specific guests. All photos are fully copyrighted. The possession of all photos taken belongs to the Photographer until he/she receives full payment. The Photographer retains copyright regardless of sale. The scanning, resale, distribution, or online sharing of any photographs without the Photographer's written permission is illegal, and all violators will be prosecuted. The Photographer may use portrait images from the event for advertising, website design, logos, contests, and other artistic or business purposes.
