Pet Fostering Agreement

This Agreement is between {Shelter Name}, from this point known as Shelter, and {Name}, from this point known as Volunteer, for the care of {Pet Name}, from this point known as Pet, and is executed on this {date} day of {month}, {year}.

This Agreement is intended to ensure proper care of the animal described below

{Pet Name}

{Breed, age, coloring, physical description, etc.}

{microchip #}

Shelter shall cover the expense of:

{food}

{litter/waste supplies}

{bedding}

{medications/supplements}

{other items}

Volunteer shall cover the expense of:

{food}

{litter/waste supplies}

{pet toys}

{other items}

Additionally, volunteer will be mindful of {medical history, conditions, or other special requirements}. Shelter will provide {Medication Name, vitamin/supplement, etc.}. Volunteer will {pickup arrangements}.

Volunteer will provide daily care as follows:

{exercise/entertainment}

{grooming}

{pet waste care/litterbox maintenance}

{other}

Shelter attests that Pet is fully vaccinated, with health as-described. Shelter agrees to hold Volunteer harmless for Pet injury or death, provided that reasonable precautions are taken to prevent such. Volunteer also agrees to seek veterinarian care {at their discretion, under certain conditions, via a specific approved provider, etc.}. Costs will be reimbursed {describe policy}.

Volunteer agrees to hold Shelter harmless for any damage done to person or property by Pet.

Images of Pet {may/may not} be shared on social media and/or used in promotional posts or materials by Shelter. Foster confidentiality will be {policy}.

The fostering period begins on {date} and will continue through {date}, or until such time as {event}. Either party can terminate the agreement {conditions or trigger}, at which time the Pet will immediately be returned to the Shelter.

The parties hereto have caused this Agreement to be duly executed this {date} day of {month}, {year}.
