Household Rules Agreement

{Names}, living at {address} and each doing their part for a harmonious shared living experience, agree to the following household rules:

Private spaces such as bedrooms and occupied bathrooms will remain private spaces. No one else may enter without knocking and receiving permission to come in, unless an emergency requires it. Bedrooms may be decorated and furnished according to the occupants' desires and budget, except {no painting walls, no nails, no destruction of property, etc.}. The cleaning of private spaces is at the discretion of the occupant, excepting hazardous materials, leaving out food that molds or attracts bugs, and {other}.

Shared spaces are communal and must be occupied and treated with others in mind. Personal items that do not belong in communal spaces must be tidied up within {amount of time}. Occupants must {do their own dishes, pick up their own belongings, clean up their own spills, do their own laundry}.

Shared space decorations will be decided in the following manner: {décor outline}.

Chores for communal spaces are currently as follows: {Name, chores, frequency}.

The bathroom schedules are currently as follows: {Names, days of week, times}.

Occupants will treat the space and each other with respect. There will be no loud music or devices during {hours} or in {spaces}. Quiet time is {time} to {time}.

Guests must be cleared with the other occupants if {they're staying overnight, they're staying for dinner, etc.}.

The occupants will be mindful of energy use and turn lights and devices off when not occupying a room.

There will be no screen time during {times} or before {required activities}.

All entrances/exits must be locked and shared space windows secured when the last person awake goes to bed.

Occupants will treat each other with courtesy and respect. {Cursing, insults, derogatory comments} are not permitted.
