Household Pet Agreement

_______________________ (hereafter "Party 1"), _______________________ (hereafter "Party 2"), _______________________ (hereafter "Party 3"), _______________________ (hereafter "Party 4"), and _______________________ (hereafter "Party 5") (collectively, "The Household") hereby agree to the following:

The Household agrees to adopt a pet (hereafter "the Pet"), specifically a {breed/animal} around the age of {age} with {other requirements}. All parties are satisfied with this choice. All parties must be in favor of the animal for the adoption to take place.

Party {X} will be responsible for the cost of the adoption. Party {X} will ensure that all necessary equipment (including {cage, water feeder, food, litter, leash, etc.}) is purchased before the Pet comes home to the Household. Party {X} will pay for the Pet to receive all necessary shots, examinations, registering, and microchipping if they have not already been done.

The Household agrees to decide on a name together and to have at least three names everyone is generally in favor of before seeking out the Pet.

The Household agrees to the following division of routine pet care: {Party Names and tasks associated with food, water, exercise, medications, training, cleaning, etc.}.

The Household agrees that the Pet will live in {part of house}. The Household agrees that the Pet will not be permitted in {places} and will make every effort to train or physically impede the Pet from entering said places.

The Household agrees that the Pet's residency will be at {address}, and those who leave the house to live elsewhere will have no claim to the Pet. If all members of the house choose to live elsewhere, the Pet will stay with Party {X}.

All parties agree to treat the animal with kindness and respect, and to never physically harm it, purposely mishandle or frighten it, or keep it from healthy living (e.g. food, exercise, and fresh air).
