Holiday Gift Exchange Agreement

_______________________ (hereafter "Celebrant"), in the interest of a harmonious {family/workplace} and stress-free holiday cheer, agrees to participate in the {family/office/school/etc.} gift exchange. It will be coordinated by {Name}.

Each participant in the gift exchange agrees to adhere to the following conditions:

• The value of the gift must be at least {dollar amount} but not exceed {dollar amount}.
• White elephant or "gag" gifts {are/are not} allowed.
• There {is*/is not} a theme to this gift exchange. *The theme is {homemade/books only/recycled/etc.}
• Gifts of {alcohol/rated "R" items/allergens/etc.} are not allowed.
• "Stealing" of gifts {will*/will not} be allowed. *By participating in the gift exchange, participants acknowledge that they will not complain or hold grudges over any "Yankee Swap" or stolen gifts. Gifts may be swapped {number} times.
• All gifts are due {to coordinator/at event/etc.} on {date}.
• Gifts {should/should not} be wrapped or in a gift bag.
• Participants {will/wlll not} be matched with a specific recipient. If you are matched, you agree to mindfully select a gift that the other party is likely to enjoy. This {is/is not} a "Secret Santa" type exchange, and the recipient {will/will not} know who gave them the gift {ever/until specific time}.
• Barring {emergency/illness/remote location}, participants are expected to attend the holiday party and gift exchange at {location} on {date}.
• If you find that you are no longer able to participate in the gift exchange, notify the coordinator as soon as possible. This form must be turned in to {coordinator} by {date}. If applicable, names will be drawn and distributed to participants on {date}.
