Domestic Partnership Agreement

_________________________________ and ______________________________ hereby agree to the following:

This contract is established for the purpose of outlining and agreeing upon our rights and responsibilities to each other.

We are both at least 18 years old, mentally sound and entering into this contract of our own free will. Neither of us has been forced, coerced or put under mental or physical duress.

Neither of us is married to, separated from or in a domestic partnership with any other person at this time.

All property, assets, income, debt and liability accumulated by an individual prior to this agreement remains that individual's responsibility and claim alone. Neither of us has any right to the other's properties without prior written consent.

Property or assets gifted to or inherited by an individual during the relationship shall belong to that individual alone in its entirety.

All income accrued during the relationship will be kept in separate bank accounts under the individual's name.

We will open a joint bank account for the purpose of joint ventures and the payment of {rent/mortgage/utilities/groceries, etc.} We shall provide equal shares to this joint account and divide the costs of living equally.

Any property or assets that we purchase together will be divided into equal shares in the event of this agreement's termination.

We agree that either party may terminate this contract if they provide a {number} week written notice. If the termination is desired by only one partner, he/she agrees to {number} counseling sessions before seeking termination.

We both agree to abide by this contract in mutual and loving good faith. If any conflicts or disputes arise, we agree to intercession through a mutually agreed-upon mediator.

Should a court or judge find any portion of this contract illegal, the rest of the contract shall remain in full effect.
