College Housing Contract

_______________________ (hereafter “Student”) and _______________________ (hereafter “School”), hereby agree to the following rules and restrictions for housing at __________________ the School for the ________________ school year:

Residents of on-campus housing must be enrolled at the School and pursuing a degree for the {year – year} school year. Students who unenroll from the School must contact {Name} at {contact info} immediately to cancel their contract. A fee of {amount} will apply for unenrollment.

The School requires all first-year students who are {number} months or fewer past high school graduation to live on campus for the {year – year} school year. The Student will pay {amount} per {month/term/semester} for a {double/single/triple} room. The Student will receive their {room/dorm/roommate} information no later than {date}.

The School requires all on-campus students to purchase a campus meal plan. The Student has selected the {Package} package, which offers {number} meal points. These points may be used at any campus cafeteria or meal room, including {places}. Meal points roll over between {months/semesters/terms}. Students may not exchange points for cash, and no refund will be provided at the end of the year for any remaining points.

First-year students {are/are not} permitted to have a car on campus. Parking passes for designated student lots are {amount} per {month/year/term/semester}.

Students with disabilities of any kind have the right to accommodation in campus housing. The Student has requested accommodations for {ramp/first floor/permission for support animal/etc.}.

The Student has expressed preference for the following accommodations: {certain dorm, room size, co-ed hall, single-sex hall, etc.}. These preferences will be taken into account in the final decision but cannot be guaranteed.

The Student will receive a key and access to their room no later than {date}. This will begin the Student’s occupancy of the room, which will end on {the last day of the year, the day after their last final, etc.}. The key must be returned to {place} by {time} at the end of occupancy. Failure to do so will result in a {amount} fine. Replacement keys are {amount}. Students who have locked their keys in their room may contact their Resident Advisor for help for {fine amount}.

Students {may/may not} live on campus for {breaks/holidays}.

Occupancy is limited to the Student and their roommate(s). Subleasing and additional roommates are not permitted. Guests {are/are not} permitted. Guests are restricted to {days of the week, times, no overnight visits, etc.}.

The Student may not alter their dorm room in any permanent way, including painting the fixtures/furniture/walls/ceiling, using nails or thumbtacks in the wall, or removing fixtures/furniture.

Dangerous items such as hot plates, candles, and incense may not be used in the dorms at any time. Alcohol, drugs, and illegal substances are not allowed in campus housing—this includes intoxicated individuals.
