Best Friend Contract

_____________________________ (hereafter "Friend 1") and __________________________ (hereafter "Friend 2") hereby agree to the following:

To go on silly, ridiculous adventures whenever possible (or to make mundane trips into adventures as needed).

To tell each other everything.

To listen to each other without judgment (and without repeating it to others!)

To be {best man/maid of honor} at the other's wedding, should the occasion arise.

To be {godmother/godfather} to the other's firstborn child, should the occasion arise.

To help each other move.

To once in a while sit in a field at sunset and do Sudoku puzzles together.

To take road trips to {places to visit} whenever possible.

To be available to each other for help and comfort at 4:00 in the morning (or any other time).

To give advice when it's needed on work, school, love, parenting, baking, drawing, singing, homeownership, basketball, and Ikea furniture when requested.

To not give advice when it's a bad time for it (even if the advice is really good).

To respect each other's beliefs, life plan, differences, talents, flaws, identities, and quirks.

To never take advantage of each other's friendship, faith, and loyalty.

To be honest (but not brutally so).

To be understanding and supportive of each other's endeavors and goals, even if it means spending time apart.

To be kind to each other.

To love each other always.
