Agreement to Become Bilingual

This agreement is made on {date} between {Employee Name}, hereafter "Employee," and {Employer Name}, hereafter "Employer":

The Employee, being provisionally hired as {Position} on {date}, hereby agrees to fulfill the following obligations:

• To learn {Language} no later than {date}
• To use {Language} for the purposes of {job requirements}
• To demonstrate a proficiency in {Language} equivalent to {requirement}

If the Employee does not meet these requirements by the date provided, the Employee is subject to termination from {Position} at the Employer's discretion.

The Employer agrees to provide the following to the Employee:

• Training (on-site or off-site) in {Language}
• At least {amount of time} to learn {Language}
• Payment for all training classes and materials
• A schedule that allows the Employee time to complete the training
